Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Monday, October 21, 2019. A delegation from the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), led by its Vice President, Hon. Chief Fortune Charumbira, called on H.E. Kwesi Quartey, Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC).
Chief Charumbira briefed H.E the DCP on matters arising from the Third Session of the Fifth Parliament that took place at the seat of the PAP in Midrand, South Africa.

H.E Quartey welcomed the delegation to the AUC and thanked them for making time to update the Commission on proceedings at the PAP Session. He entreated the delegation to keep open the lines of communication between the Commission and the Pan-African Parliament, and assured them of the Commission's unwavering support.
The two parties also used the occasion to discuss other pertinent administrative matters.

Present at the meeting were Amb. Abdoulaye Diop, Chief of Staff, and Ms Lindiwe Khumalo, Advisors, both of the Bureau of the Chairperson, Ms Djeneba Diarra and Prof. Mekonen Haddis, Advisors, Bureau of the Deputy Chairperson, and Ms. Azeb Gebremedhin, Head of Accounting Division, Programming, Budgeting, Finance & Accounting Directorate.

The Pan-African Parliament is an organ of the African Union established to ensure the full participation of the people of African in the economic and integration process of the continent.
