The Ambassador of Benin bids Farewell to the Deputy Chairperson of African Union Commission
Addis Ababa – Ethiopia. July 28, 2020. The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Benin to the African Union, H.E. Mr. Timothee Odjo called on the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mr. Kwesi Quartey to bid him farewell following the decision by the Government of Benin to close its mission in Addis Ababa.
 
The Deputy Chairperson commended Ambassador Odjo for his contributions to debates and the dexterity he applied to his work in the Permanent Representative Committee (PRC) sessions. 
 
He emphasized the fact that Benin has been the bridge between Anglophone and Francophone West Africa whilst acknowledging the country’s contributions to the Pan-African movement and the AU integration process.
 
He wished Amb. Odjo well in all his future endeavours.
