Africa CDC Weekly Press Briefing on the response to public health emergencies in Africa

INVITATION TO REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEDIA

OVERVIEW: This briefing which commenced in 2020 is a channel through which the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has engaged with the media on a weekly basis, to share critical updates on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic response and other public health emergencies in Africa.

Thursday’s briefing will provide the regular updates on the current situation of COVID-19, and other health emergencies happening across the continent. The Director will be joined by Africa CDC’s Head of Disease Control to provide more insights on the commemoration of World Neglected Tropical Diseases (NCDs) day in Africa.
