Africa CDC Weekly Press Briefing on the response to Public Health Emergencies in Africa

INVITATION TO REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEDIA

OVERVIEW: This briefing which commenced in 2020 is a channel through which the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has engaged with the media on a weekly basis, to share critical updates on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic response and other public health emergencies in Africa.

This week’s briefing will provide updates on the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and other disease outbreaks happening across the continent. The Director will also highlight Africa CDC’s support to all Member States who are currently responding to ongoing health emergencies, as well as outline other initiatives the organization is doing to strengthen Member States capacities.
