The Chairperson of the @_AfricanUnion Commission @ymahmoudali met with H.E. @TayeAtske, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of #Ethiopia at the State House. Their discussions focused on regional peace and security, the AU’s mediation efforts in South Sudan, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as ongoing institutional reforms within the AU, including financial sovereignty and sustainable funding for peace support operations. The Chairperson expressed appreciation for Ethiopia’s longstanding contributions to these critical areas, while President Taye commended the Chairperson’s leadership and engagement in advancing peace efforts across the region, and promoting multilateral cooperation.
