AUC Chairperson bid farewell to H.E. Dr. Mohamed Omar Gad, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt
The Chairperson of the AU Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, bid farewell to H.E. Dr. Mohamed Omar Gad, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the AU. The Chairperson commended Amb. Gad’s steadfast engagement in AU deliberations, notably on peace and security, institutional reform, and sustainable financing. They also exchanged views on enhancing African agency in diplomacy & mediation & multilateral cooperation.
The Chairperson expressed appreciation for Egypt’s continued leadership on African matters & looks forward to working with the incoming Representative.
