7th #AUEUSummit - AUC Chairperson underscored Africa’s emergence as a global growth powerhouse
At the session of the 7th #AUEUSummit in Luanda this afternoon, H.E Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, the Chairperson of the AU Commission underscored Africa’s emergence as a global growth powerhouse; with abundant markets, manpower & resources, & a growing role across the global value chain.
He called for balanced trade partnerships, greater European #investment in Africa’s mineral transformation, & the lifting of #tariff & non-tariff barriers limiting access to EU markets. He also urged a stronger multilateralism rooted in equality & shared interests.
The meeting was opened by H.E. João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, the President of Angola.
