Les célébrations de la Journée de l'Afrique offriront l'occasion de célébrer certaines réalisations marquantes de l'Union dans divers domaines tels que la paix et la sécurité, l'intégration continentale, émancipation des femmes et des jeunes, l'éradication des maladies, etc. La célébration sera également l'occasion de réfléchir à la transformation et aux réalisations de l'Union et de renouveler les engagements en faveur de la réalisation de l'Afrique que nous voulons voir inscrite dans l'Agenda 2063. La Journée de l'UA sera en outre une occasion opportune de promouvoir la visibilité de l'Union africaine et de ses activités sur tout le continent africain, dans la diaspora et dans les pays où l'UA a ses bureaux de représentation ainsi que des bureaux régionaux. La Commission de l'Union africaine appelle donc tous les Africains à commémorer et à célébrer la Journée de l'Afrique.

WHAT: The Department of Agriculture and Rural Economy (DREA), through its program, the Partnership for Aflatoxin Control in Africa (PACA), is organizing a two-day training workshop on “Strengthening Food Safety Capacity for Reporting in the Biennial Review”. The workshop will bring together food safety experts from the African Union member states for a comprehensive training on data collection and computing for the Africa Food Safety Index (AFSI). The AFSI is the latest, and the 44th indicator of the Biennial Report Tracking (BRT) Mechanism used to collate data. The AFSI is submitted biennially to the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union on how member states are implementing the Compressive African Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP), adopted by the African Heads in Malabo in 2014.
