Cyber Security and Cybercrime Policies for African Diplomats

WHAT : The Department of Infrastructure and Energy is organizing a workshop on Cyber-security, Cyber-crime Policy & Diplomacy to be held from 11 to 13 April 2018 in AU HQ, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

WHO : in collaboration with Council of Europe, and Internet & Jurisdiction Network for African Ambassadors and Diplomats based in Addis Ababa.

WHY : The workshop aims at promoting confidence and trust in the use of ICTs & Internet by building the capacity of the participants on Cybersecurity and Cybercrime issues. Participants will acquire a deep understanding of the most important concepts for secure and resilient Cyberspace, such as the Internet jurisdiction, challenges related to Cybercrime investigations, norms of responsible state behavior in cyber space as well as the need for global cyber-treaties. WHEN : Thursday 12 and Friday 13 April 2018

WHERE : The workshop will take place in the AUC New building, Small Conference Room 4, and the discussions will be conducted in English and French.
