Arusha, Tanzania – 27 March 2017. The 8th Meeting of the Continental Task Force (CTF) on the Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA), commenced today in Arusha, Tanzania. The meeting is organized by the Department of Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission. The objective of the Meeting is to review the status of implementation of previous decisions made by the Continental Task Force and consider recommendations of the CFTA Negotiating Institutions.

Lomé, Togo, 13th March 2017: The First Ordinary Session of the African Union Specialized Technical Committee (STC) on Transport, Transcontinental and Interregional Infrastructures, Energy and Tourism (TIIIET) kicked-off today in Lomé (Togo) amidst reiterated calls for mobilizing sustainable means of adequate financing for infrastructure development in the continent.

Kigali 27 February 2017 – The Department of Political Affairs of the African Union Commission (the Secretariat of the AU-STC 8 on Public Service, Local Government, Urban Development and Decentralization), organized a three-days technical planning meeting from 27 February – 01 March 2017 on the 2017 Africa Public Service Day (APSD), scheduled to be held on 23 June 2017 in Kigali, Republic of Rwanda.
