1) March 09, 2015 – March 13, 2015 Workshop on adoption of the African Internet Exchange System Project curriculum as an academic program in collaboration with Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD), Dakar, Senegal.

African Union Commission (AUC) in collaboration with the CISCO academy support center of Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD), Dakar, Senegal organized a workshop on adoption of the African Internet Exchange System Project Curriculum as an academic program.

The aim is to put in place an accredited academic programme on Internet Exchange Technologies to support development of Internet technical capacity in the continent.

AXIS project content has been developed to deliver capacity building workshop on Best Practice and Technical aspects of establishing Internet Exchange Points for Member States who do not have Internet Exchange Points.

The objective of this workshop is therefore to present this AXIS content to Cisco Networking Academies in Africa and to:

• Discuss processes for adoption of the AXIS curriculum
• Formulate a roadmap for adoption of the AXIS curriculum

Participants representing from more than 30 Universities / Technical institutes in 15 countries whose curriculums are taught in French and have Cisco Network Academy center (Supported by UCAD) have participated in the workshop.
